Melides George

George Melides is the Financial Lines Manager at Howden Hellas S.A, with an expertise that includes innovative solutions and risk management advisory for Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Risks and Professional Indemnity. In his current role at Howden Hellas, he is tasked with embedding Howden Group’s Climate Risk and Resilience global capabilities towards building an expert, full spectrum local function.

With over 20 years experience in Commercial Business Insurance, predominantly in the International market with senior leadership roles held at major multinational Insurance organizations (Zurich Insurance Group, AIG (UK), AXA S.A., Marsh), he has a proven track record of successful management of multi discipline teams across functions and products, delivering excellence and sustainable value for organizations.

George holds a Bachelors’ in Business Administration from the Piraeus University and an MSc. in Risk Management & Insurance from the City University Business School. He is also a member of the Institute of Risk Management (UK).
